EXPERIENCE
Jamie became an official communicator for hire in 2008. Jamie Brown Public Relations is a full-service PR company. She uses her background in television and public relations to assist local businesses, non-profits and other organizations with their communication needs.
Public Relations
Prior to starting her own company, she served as the director of public relations at JPS Health Network. JPS is the Tarrant County tax-supported health system which includes a hospital, more than three dozen health centers, and employs nearly 4,600 people. Her responsibilities included handling the media, crafting communications for C-level executives, crisis management, corporate video production, event planning and much more.
Television
Before entering public relations, Jamie worked in television news in the Dallas area. She was a writer for the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts at WFAA, and was an assignments editor at KTVT. Additionally, she also served as the news director at a local cable television station.
Jamie earned a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.
